Chatango – Embedded XMLSocket Chat

Her majesty is using this for one of her sites. Basically, it is a presence chat engine that works with an optionally installed client program to broadcast presence when your homepage is not open. Curious how it worked, I cracked it open and it uses XMLSocket. I’m curious how they afford all of the connections since the service is free and they claim to not sell your email address. Regardless, neat to see Flash take a niche market like this, and at the same time have el niche market peeps recommend the Flash 7 Player… even though they use version 6 looking components.
