  • Central AS2 Classes: by Geoffrey Williams

Both he and I like to work with AS2, even though were exporting to Flash 6.0.65.0 and Central is AS1’ish. This allows you to write components for Central using AS2 and have all the syntax checking, etc. If there is at a later date a namespace conflict, or Macromedia comes out with an official one, you can easily remove these as they are packaged in an MXP.

Thanks for all of your hardwork this weekend, Geoffrey!

I believe I heard about this awhile ago… even an idea of scanning in your true physique in the future to actually have the clothing try ons be more valid. The fact that other clothing sites support this is kind of neat. It is an example of using one application’s features via another… just like Central does!

  • Central vs. RIA’s: What does Central give you that an RIA does not?

There are a few talented developers out there that don’t really get what Central gives them beyond a traditional RIA running on a website. Maybe these’ll help.

  • Trigger Happy Mouse

Aw dude, my mouse has gone click happy. 1 out of every 3 clicks is a double click, and it’ll keep doing this for about 4 clicks. Switched USB slots, rebooted, all to no avail. Time to buy another one, I guess. Anyone know of any fringe ones? I’ve seen the 5 button mice a few years back; they were great for Starcrack/Warcrack. I’m willing to go a little wild if there is something just completely unusable that you know of. Spanks!
