From MoveableType to WordPress

After 5 years of running this blog via MoveableType, it’s time for a change. I tested WordPress last week, liked what I saw, so waxed my entire site tonight with Mediatemple’s one click install. All files referenced on past posts (images, sample files, etc.) were deleted so if something is missing, email me and I’ll do my best to fix that post first. In the meantime, the show must go on, so I’m not going to stop blogging just because I made the switch from Perl to PHP.

  1. Doesn’t look like your post-switch posts are being included in your feeds. Last one that shows is Transformers.

  2. They’re not; been too busy to update my feeds and re-wire the existing feed URL’s that the aggregators are expecting. I’ll do so probably this weekend at this rate.

  3. I like WordPress, but found it hard to maintain multiple blogs on due to the single-blog data model. Still, you can’t beat the content management UI and ease of plugin creation.
