There is a scientific theory called entropy in that all things eventually return to chaos. You build a bridge, it’ll eventually rot. You live, you die and decay. Mountains are created by plate techtonics only to be sliced by rivers and weathered by rain, returning to the sediment of rock in which they arose from.

You can also take action as an individual. I put some fairly simple measures in place on my blog, and it seems to be working – I haven’t had a single spam comment in nearly 3 weeks now. That’s down from about 10 a day prior to making the changes.
