you should check this cool little app out. it's developed by former Painter developers but it's simple, free, and lots of fun with a tablet: http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html BTW, winter is not harsh and unforgiving in southern california, it's about 75 and sunny everyday here in San Clemente: pic 1 pic 2 It looks like I may be out here a while and I need to rent my house down in midtown - let me know if you know anybody.

[Acrylic]’s not great, but useful for certain situations. i like to have a selection of tools for design work.

Naw, got sick of using my Stylus in Flash, so wanted to try something more raster. I haven’t tried Acrylic. I guess I will now that I have a recommendation.

i would have expected the ‘JXL’ in the snow to be yellow… ;-)

have you played with MS’s Acrylic? nice to do these types of painterly effects with vectors (though i suppose you could do that with Illustrator to a degree…)
