Yeah, and if they planted those ships so long ago, why not just take over earth then? We probably would have been even easier to wipe out.

Saw it! It was cool but it I have a similar issue with it as I did signs (granted with WOW this goes back to the original story); you would think that an advanced civilization would bother to do some basic research about a planet they where planning on inhabiting.

The idea of the Aliens placing the spaceships below the earth before man even existed does bring up an interesting question. Where we planted by those aliens only to be harvested?

Anyhow if anything I did learn a valuable lesson: do not invade another planet in the nude.

…just like Independance Day?? I think it may be the other way around :)

Didn’t think much of it myself, exactly the same as the original ’50s movie but ‘updated’ (ie they changed the century in the intro narration and stuck in a crowd pulling actor) and with all the suspense removed :(
